John Anderson, O.D. - Optometrist
Dr. John Anderson grew up in Donelson and graduated from Vanderbilt University prior to earning his Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Dr. Anderson is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, Injectible & Therapeutic Certified, and continually attends advanced training in all areas of modern eyecare. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, International Academy of Sports Vision, and the Donelson/Hermitage Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his involvement with "Sight for Students VSP", he also volunteers time to work with children and adults in our community. Dr. Anderson and his wife (Dr. Terri) live in Donelson and are the proud parents of Noah Robert Anderson and Luke Matthew Anderson.
Terri Anderson, O.D. - Optometrist
Dr. Terri Anderson, a West Tennessee native, graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 1997. She completed an accredited post-doctoral residency in ocular disease at VisionAmerica here in Nashville. Dr. Anderson is involved in various professional activities, clinical practice, and continuing education. She has presented continuing education lectures on various eyecare topics. Dr. Anderson's achievements include: NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and Magna Cum Laude gradute from Freed-Hardeman University. While at SCO, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Gold Key International Honor Society, and was a Magna Cum Laude graduate. Currently, Dr. Anderson lives in Donelson with her husband (Dr. John) and they are the proud parents of Noah Robert Anderson and Luke Matthew Anderson.
Robin - Paraoptometric
Robin, originally from Maine, moved to Tennessee to attend Belmont University. While in school, she worked for an optometrist in Franklin and in 2004 began working at Anderson Eyecare intent on making a career as a paraoptometric. She has attained her CPO and CPOA certifications and plans to complete the highest level for paraoptometrics (CPOT) within the year. Robin enjoys working with patients to understand their vision needs and concerns. Robin and her husband Nathan are involved in various ministries of First Baptist Old Hickory, enjoy the arts, and like to take daytrips throughout Tennessee.
Stephanie - Patient Care Coordinator
Stephanie has recently relocated to the Nashville area from Tampa, FL. Stepahnie coordinates the front office and greets each patient with courtesy and a smile. She is a Lipscomb University graduate and lives with her family in Mount Juliet. She has been married for 28 years to Alex, who is the Pulpit Minister at the Central Pike Church of Christ in Hermitage. They have 3 children: Rachel is married and lives in Orlando, FL with her husband Brian and son Jonah, Adam is married and lives in Tampa, FL with his wife Amber and the youngest, Sabrina, is a student at Lipscomb University. Stephanie's hobbies include scrapbooking, sewing, and singing. She also loves children and is very involved in the Children's Ministry at her church.
Emily - Paraoptometric
Emily is originally from Indiana. She and her Husband Nathan moved to Tennessee in 2006. Emily has worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician for the last 4 years. She recently changed jobs and is now a Paraoptometric. Emily enjoys meeting all the patients and getting to know them one on one, while understanding their vision needs. Her husband Nathan is the Worship Pastor at Grace Church of the Nazarene where she participates in choir and plays on the softball team. During her free time, she enjoys being outside playing sports, landscaping, and of course, shopping with her husband.
Margaret - Insurance Coordinator
Margaret, originally from Memphis, has lived in Hermitage for most of her life. Her father is a minister at FBC of Old Hickory. She worked as a manager at Sonic in Old Hickory for five years before coming to Anderson Eyecare. She attended Western Kentucky University for three years and is currently enrolled at MTSU. She was originally a technician at the office, however, she has moved to the insurance coordinator position. She takes care of all of our patients' insurance needs, such as authorizing, filing, and correcting problems. Her hobbies include reading, shopping, and most of all....being on the lake.
Mercuria - Optician
Mercuria ("Kissy") is originally from St. Lucia (West Indies in the Carribean). She moved to New Jersy in 1982 with her family of eleven (eight siblings). She attended East Brunswick High School in New Jersey and later attended Raritan Community College in New Jersy. Mercuria is married with two children; one boy and one girl. She has worked in the Optical business for more than 18 years. In 2007 she and her family relocated to Nashville after a job transfer for her husband. Mercuria currently works as our Optician and enjoys assisting our patients in finding just the right blend of fashion and function in their eyewear. She is continually working to stay up with the latest trends and styles in eyewear and lens designs. Her hobbies include cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.
