John Anderson, O.D. - Optometrist

Dr. John Anderson grew up in Donelson and graduated from Vanderbilt University prior to earning his Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. Dr. Anderson is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease, Injectible & Therapeutic Certified, and continually attends advanced training in all areas of modern eyecare. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Optometric Association, International Academy of Sports Vision, and the Donelson/Hermitage Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his involvement with "Sight for Students VSP", he also volunteers time to work with children and adults in our community. Dr. Anderson and his wife (Dr. Terri) live in Donelson and are the proud parents of Noah Robert Anderson and Luke Matthew Anderson.

Terri Anderson, O.D. - Optometrist

Dr. Terri Anderson, a West Tennessee native, graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 1997. She completed an accredited post-doctoral residency in ocular disease at VisionAmerica here in Nashville. Dr. Anderson is involved in various professional activities, clinical practice, and continuing education. She has presented continuing education lectures on various eyecare topics. Dr. Anderson's achievements include: NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and Magna Cum Laude gradute from Freed-Hardeman University. While at SCO, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Gold Key International Honor Society, and was a Magna Cum Laude graduate. Currently, Dr. Anderson lives in Donelson with her husband (Dr. John) and they are the proud parents of Noah Robert Anderson and Luke Matthew Anderson.

Stephanie - Patient Care Coordinator (CPO)

Stephanie returned to the Nashville area in 2007 from Tampa, FL. Stephanie, a Certified Paraoptometric, coordinates the front office and greets each patient with courtesy and a smile. She is a Lipscomb University graduate and lives with her family in Mt Juliet. She has been married for 31 years to Alex, who is the Pulpit Minister at the Central Pike Church of Christ in Hermitage. They have 3 grown children: Rachel is married and lives in Mt Juliet with her husband Brian and son Jonah, Adam is married and lives in Tampa, FL with his wife Amber and the youngest, Sabrina, recently married Patrick and lives in Nashville. Stephanie's hobbies include scrapbooking, sewing, and singing with the Metro Nashville Chorous. She also loves children and is very involved in the Children's Ministry at her church.

Margaret - Insurance Coordinator (CPO)

Margaret has lived in the Hermitage area for twenty years. She attended Western Kentucky University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from MTSU. Originally a technician, Margaret now handles our insurance billing and authorization. She takes care of all of our patients' insurance needs, such as authorizing, filing, and coordination of your benefits. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their 1-year old daughter.

Robin - Paraoptometric (CPOT)

Robin, originally from Maine, moved to Tennessee to attend Belmont University. While in school, she worked for an optometrist in Franklin and in 2004 began working at Anderson Eyecare intent on making a career as a paraoptometric. She has attained her CPO and CPOA certifications and recently completed the highest level for paraoptometrics (CPOT) with an outstanding grade of 98 (Great job Robin!!). Robin enjoys working with patients to understand their vision needs and concerns. Robin and her husband Nathan are involved in various ministries of First Baptist Gallatin, enjoy the arts, taking daytrips, and spending time with their daughter Anna.

Courtney - Paraoptometric (CPO)

Courtney, a Nashville native, graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2008. Before attending college, Courtney worked part-time at Anderson Eyecare and has returned on a full-time basis. She has attained her CPO certification and is now working towards her CPOA. Courtney enjoys working with patients one-on-one to meet their vision needs. During he free time, she enjoys working with children, being outside, exercising, and is involved in activities with her church group.

Mercuria - Optician

Mercuria ("Kissy") is originally from St. Lucia (West Indies in the Carribean). She moved to New Jersy in 1982 with her family of eleven (eight siblings). She attended East Brunswick High School in New Jersey and later attended Raritan Community College in New Jersy. Mercuria is married with two children; one boy and one girl. She has worked in the Optical business for more than 18 years. In 2007 she and her family relocated to Nashville after a job transfer for her husband. Mercuria currently works as our Optician and enjoys assisting our patients in finding just the right blend of fashion and function in their eyewear. She is continually working to stay up with the latest trends and styles in eyewear and lens designs. Her hobbies include cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.
